Strategy guide
Luck matters, but good choices win more games. Here's how.
1. Aim for trips that share places
Some places appear in several trips. They keep more doors open, so keep them and place them early:
- Tyre: in 4 trips
- Sidon Sea Castle: in 3 trips
- Beaufort Castle: in 3 trips
- Pigeon Rocks: in 3 trips
- Mar Mikhael: in 3 trips
- Faraya: in 3 trips
2. Grab the short trips
Lebanon Highlights and Lebanese Heritage need only 2 places. When one is on the table, it's often the fastest route to a win.
3. Don't show your hand too early
Places on your board can be stolen (Ancient Secrets, Hidden Cache, Slick Thieve) or traded away. Keep cards in your hand until you're one or two away from finishing a trip, then put them down together.
4. Protect what you've built
Safe Haven guards your board until your next turn, and Tucked In locks two cards together for good. Hold a Counter Move for the moment someone aims at your best card.
5. Use all 3 actions
Drawing is never wasted: more cards means more choices. But mind the 6-card limit at the end of your turn, and don't throw away places your trips need.
6. Watch the leader
Check other players' boards (click their box). If someone has 2 trips, slow them down: steal their key place, use Epic Journey to make them skip a turn, or Sudden Rain to make them drop a place.
7. Remember the epic cards
Every trip you finish brings an epic card, and some hurt (Time Lock, Temporal Backlash). Finishing two trips in one turn means two epics, so plan for surprises.
